12 Important Reasons Why you Should Dance

Importance Of Dance:
  1. Concentration and memory - Learning and remembering new footwork and body movement sharpens your brain work too. Research shows that combined mental and physical activities helps to slow the onset of Alzheimer's and dementia. 
  2. Coordination and fitness - Tightly coordinating your brain and body is a safe way to exercise which burns calories, increases endurance, improves cardiovascular fitness, and if done regularly reduces blood pressure and strengthens yours bones. 
  3. Understanding of how your body works - learn to use biomechanics to work your body beautifully on the dance floor.   
  4. Knowledge of yourself - your strengths and weaknesses both physically and psychologically.
  5. Stress relief - By focusing on your immediate task of learning to dance, you forget your other worries and stress, for at least as long as the lesson and every time you practice. It's a great way to relax to be "Dance Happy!"

  12. Awareness through musicality, rhythm, movement - learn to first hear music, then feel music, and sense an absolute awareness of both your body and your partner's body movement.
